The Kempegowda Shield marked the second major tournament in the Bhanuvara League calendar on November 2nd, 2025. Named to honor Bengaluru's founder, this 6-a-side tournament featured group stages leading to knockout rounds, with teams competing for the prestigious Kempegowda Shield trophy and a ₹15,000 cash prize.

Tournament Format
Group Stage
Teams were divided into groups where they played round-robin matches. Only the winner of each group advanced to the knockout rounds.
Semi-Finals
Group winners faced off in the semi-finals for a chance to reach the championship match.
Finals
The two semi-final winners competed in the grand finale where Satish FC lifted the Kempegowda Shield.
Match Duration
Each match was 10 minutes in total - consisting of two 5-minute halves with a 1-minute halftime break.
Rules & Regulations
- 6-a-side format (5 outfield players + 1 goalkeeper)
- Up to 3 substitutes allowed per team
- Rolling substitutions permitted during any stoppage in play
- No offside rule
- Goalkeepers cannot handle backpasses
- All free kicks are direct
- Kick-ins instead of throw-ins
- Slide tackles not allowed except for goalkeepers in their area
All teams maintained fair play and sportsmanship throughout the competition, making it a memorable tournament.
